1. Introduction
DOOS Rental Co ("DOOS", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information when you use the DOOS bicycle-sharing platform and mobile application.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: full name, email address, phone number, and payment details. We also collect data automatically during your use of the service, including GPS location data, ride history, QR scan logs, device identifiers, and app usage analytics.
3. Location & GPS Data
DOOS collects real-time GPS location data during active rides to ensure bicycle safety, enforce approved riding zones, and provide accurate billing. Location tracking is active only while a ride is in progress and is stored securely for service improvement and dispute resolution.
4. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to operate and manage the DOOS service, process payments, communicate service updates and promotions, ensure safety within approved zones, improve platform features, and comply with legal obligations under Kuwaiti law.
5. QR Code & Ride Data
Each QR scan is logged with a timestamp, device ID, and station location. Ride data including start time, end time, distance, and route is stored and used for billing accuracy, service analytics, and customer support purposes.
6. Data Sharing
DOOS does not sell your personal data. We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers (payment processors, cloud infrastructure) strictly for service delivery. We may also disclose data when required by Kuwaiti law enforcement or regulatory authorities.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as required by law. Ride data and GPS logs are retained for a minimum of 12 months. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting privacy@dooskw.com.
8. Security
DOOS uses industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) for data in transit and AES-256 encryption for data at rest. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis. However, no system can guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. You may also object to certain processing or request data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@dooskw.com. We will respond within 14 business days.
10. Cookies & Tracking
Our web presence uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics and session management. You may control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit certain features of our web platform.
11. Governing Law
